RICHMOND HILL WORKERS NEED A RAISE!

On November 22nd, 2024, Richmond Hill workers officially went on strike for fair wages. The following is a statement from CUPE 905:

“Richmond Hill municipal workers are on strike for fair wages. From parks and roads to water and theatre productions, we’re proud to serve Richmond Hill. But we can’t afford to keep working while our wages are falling behind.

The status quo is no longer working in our municipalities. Low wages and lack of job security are driving workers away from the public sector altogether, making it harder to deliver the services our communities rely on.
It’s time for Mayor David West and Council to value the workers who keep this City running.
Tell Richmond Hill Council to pay their workers fairly, end the strike and restore City services. Send your message today!”
